Plasterboarding & dry lining, ready to skim.

Before the skim goes on, the boarding has to be right. W. Parham Plastering builds stud walls, boards ceilings, dot-and-dabs to brick and tapes and joints, all set out flat and square so the finish that follows lands perfectly.

Common questions, straight answers.

Do you board and skim, or just board?

Both, and usually together. Most jobs we board and then skim as one, so you get a flat finished wall or ceiling from one visit. We can also tape and joint where a full skim is not needed.

What is dot-and-dab?

Dot-and-dab is bonding plasterboard straight onto a masonry wall with dabs of adhesive, to dry-line and flatten a solid wall ready for skimming. It is quick, clean and a good way to flatten and insulate an old wall in one step.

Can you build a stud wall to split a room?

Yes. We frame, board and skim new stud partition walls to divide rooms, with openings for doors where you need them, finished ready to decorate.
